Shaun Marsh

Shaun Edward Marsh is a former Australian cricketer who played for the Western Australia cricket team in Australian domestic cricket and has represented Australia in all three formats.

Nicknamed SOS (‘Son of Swampy’), Shaun Marsh he is a left-handed top-order batsman. In July 2011, Shaun was selected for the Australian Test Squad for the tour to Sri Lanka and was presented with the baggy green by his father, Geoff, who along with brother Mitchell have represented Australia. Marsh made his maiden Test century on debut against Sri Lanka on 8 September 2011, and became the 19th Australian to score a century on Test debut.

In total, Shaun has represented Australia in 111 fixtures – 38 Test and 73 ODIs.  He scored 5,038 runs with a masterful highest score of 182 against West Indies in 2015/16.

In June 2020, Alex accepted President Jim Maxwell’s invitation to become an Ambassador for the Primary Club of Australia and attends special events and webinars when his diary permits.
