Lisa Sthalekar

In domestic cricket, Lisa represented New South Wales. She was a right-handed all-rounder who bowled off spin and was rated as the leading all-rounder in the world when rankings were introduced. She was the first woman to score 1,000 runs and take 100 wickets in ODIs. She announced her retirement from international cricket a day after the Australian team won the 2013 Women's Cricket World Cup.

In November 2018, Lisa accepted President Jim Maxwell’s invitation to become an Ambassador for the Primary Club of Australia and attends special events – breakfasts, golf days and cocktail receptions – when her diary permits.

In total, Lisa made 187 appearances for Australia between 2001 and 2013 in Tests, WODIs and WT20Is, scoring over 3,900 runs and snaring 229 wickets. She now focuses on her commentating career appearing regularly on Channel 7 coverage of men’s and women’s international and domestic fixtures.
